Yttre förberedelser.
​
Sök vid lämplig tidpunkt upp en passande meditationsplats som är ostörd, harmonisk och ren. Placera gärna en bild av Helandets Buddha på ett alta- re med offergåvor, såsom vatten, nektar, blommor, ris, rökelse, ädelstenar, ’dyrbara medicinpiller’, m.m.
Inre förberedelser. Förbered gärna meditationen med att först en stund mentalt sö-ka balansering, med hjälp av exempelvis andningsmeditation och att icke-koncep-tuellt vaket vila i avskalad medvetenhet. Visualisera sedan Helandets Buddha i rym-den framför dig och behåll denna inställning under tillflyktstagandet, genererandet av upplysningstanken och skänkandet av gåvor. Buddhan kommer därefter till ens hjässa, varefter han löses upp i subtil energi och ljus och absorberas in i hela ens kropp och sinne. Därefter fortsätter man meditationen med momentet ’visualisering’.

skålar med nektar av olika slag och medicinalväxter,
välljud från cymbaler och helande mantran,
skogens skyddande atmosfär

sex lotusblomkronor som kommer från samma stam
varefter sol- och månskivor framträder i deras mitt…
på dessa manifesterar sig Helandets Buddha förenad med sin gemål
omgiven av medicingudinnor från de fem Buddhafamiljerna…
Mästaren och hans gemål i centrum har ametistfärgad lyster
med gyllengul radiering…
hans högra hand, med givandets gest,
håller i en medicinplanta
och den vänstra, varmed han omfamnar sin gemål,
håller en skål med nektar…
de omges av fem medicingudinnor
vilka alla i naturligt aktningsmedveten halvlotusposition
håller en skål med nektar i sin vänstra hand
och en medicinplanta i den högra…
gudinnan i öster framför Helandets Buddha är blå,
gudinnan i norr till vänster är grön,
gudinnan i väster bakom honom är röd
gudinnan i söder är gyllengul
och den femte medicingudinnan på hans hjässa är vit…
varje gestaltning har en klar ädelstensglans
och alla tillsammans har en regnbågsaura kring sig…
ovanför dem alla är Dordche Chang
och hela mandalan inryms i hjärtligt blådiamantig rymdmedvetenhet…

Recitation av Medicinbuddhans mantra

Medan man reciterar mantrat – 21 gånger eller fler - visualiseras att subtilt helande ametistljus radierar från Helandets Buddha med gemål och att grönt, gult, blått, rött och vitt ljus radierar från Medicingudinnorna, vilket genomströmmar hela ens kropp och psyke på ett balanserande vis, varigenom sjukdomar, skador, störningar och negativa karmiska konsekvenser i våra kroppsliga, språkliga och mentala energi-sfärer skingras. Ljuset strålar ut genom kroppens alla porer och läkande nektar flödar sedan från Medicinbuddhans och gudinnornas skålar som fyller hela hjärtat och kroppen. Man helas härmed till ett godhjärtat och naturligt värdigt tillstånd med balanserad hälsa och harmoniserande inställning.

..on a water surface in the space before me
opens a lotus flower crown surrounding a moon disc..
on top of the moon disc appears the Medicine Buddha
sitting in meditation posture..
his form is like a naturally jewel-radiating Amethyst..
he holds a medicinal plant in his right hand
and a bowl with nectar in his left..

Tantric Sadhana Meditation on Medicine Buddha​
(Long version)
​
​
Preparations
External preparations. At a suitable time, find an appropriate meditation place that is undisturbed, harmonious, and clean. It is beneficial to place an image of the Medicine Buddha on an altar with offerings such as water, nectar, flowers, rice, incense, gems, 'precious medicine pills,' etc.
Internal preparations. It is helpful to prepare for the meditation by first spending a moment mentally seeking balance, using breathing meditation and non-conceptually resting in bare awareness. Then visualize the Medicine Buddha in the space in front of you and maintain this mindset during the taking of refuge, the generation of the enlightenment thought, and the offering of gifts. The Buddha then comes to the crown of your head, after which he dissolves into subtle energy and light and is absorbed into your entire body and mind. Then continue the meditation with the 'visualization' phase.

the entire phenomenal world
with our earth, the sun, the moon, and all space...
in particular I offer You
harmonious natural spheres with enigmatic dwellings
containing dharma rooms with light, incense, and flowers,
jewel-adorned and beautiful bathrooms,
vessels with gleaming gems,
bowls with nectar of various kinds and medicinal plants,
pleasant sounds from cymbals and healing mantras,
the protective atmosphere of the forest
and nature's pure fragrances and self-evident light...
Visualization
...within me open
six lotus flowers that come from the same stem
after which sun and moon discs appear in their center...
on these manifests the Medicine Buddha united with his consort
surrounded by medicine goddesses from the five Buddha Families...
The Master and his consort in the center have an amethyst-colored luster
with golden-yellow radiation...
his right hand, with the gesture of giving,
holds a medicinal plant
and the left, with which he embraces his consort,
holds a bowl with nectar...
they are surrounded by five medicine goddesses
who all in a naturally respectful half-lotus position
hold a bowl with nectar in their left hand
and a medicinal plant in the right...
the goddess in the east before the Medicine Buddha is blue,
the goddess in the north to the left is green,
the goddess in the west behind him is red,
the goddess in the south is golden-yellow
and the fifth medicine goddess on his crown is white...
each manifestation has a clear gem-like radiance
and all together have a rainbow aura around them...
above them all is Vajradhara (Dorje Chang)
and the entire mandala is contained in heartfelt blue-diamond
spaciousness...

Recitation of the Medicine Buddha's Mantra
While reciting the mantra – 21 times or more - visualize that subtle healing amethyst light radiates from the Medicine Buddha with his consort and that green, yellow, blue, red, and white light radiates from the Medicine Goddesses, which flows through your entire body and psyche in a balancing way, whereby diseases, injuries, disturbances, and negative karmic consequences in our physical, verbal, and mental energy spheres are dispersed. The light radiates out through all pores of the body and healing nectar then flows from the Medicine Buddha's and goddesses' bowls, filling the entire heart and body. You are hereby healed to a kind-hearted and naturally dignified state with balanced health and harmonizing attitude.
